Building Meguro House Begins…

The builders were finally able to start in the first week of June.  We purchased the land in February so it has taken about four months for the design, planning, approval and price negotiations.

They start by excavating the site to so they can build the foundations. 

Crushed rock is then added to make a nice hard and stable base.

Work then begins on the foundations.

Progress is a bit slow because we are in the middle of the rainy season.  The builders are unable to work on the foundations when it is raining.

By July 13th the foundations are starting to take shape.

We should be finished with the foundations in the next week or so.  Now the rainy season is over we should see things move along a little more quickly.
